Unprecedented

by Naila Sheikh

In past and present, in parallels and in -betweens,  the never known before hadn't happened. For which almost time stood still, winds changed, and the atmosphere embraced a new notion of the incoming.  Time travelers reveled in the unforeseen,  a clash of junctures, momentum sought,

but it hadn't happened.

For which lovers came to unite, on peaks of mountains, declaring loudly a love story written in clouds. Waited until such passion to thrive, for lustful awakenings, intertwined,

but it hadn't happened.

For a new color to emerge in the rainbows lighting up skies, the moon and stars must have shied, forever in the Thousandth Night. Unspoken nature, brought by all intimidation,  for which the emergence of a warrior light arose, in full awe of his Master to shine. The sheer lightness of such magical hue drawn, promised to deliver,

but it hadn't happened.

Intangible cosmic energies, worlds apart, took new form to attraction. Bursting in agony to let free, to roam and multiply. The union of souls remained far distanced to be met with ecstasy. Only if such lunacy was given sense, what it would entail, the manifestation of such, lived in smitten love,

but it hadn't happened.

Buried hearts and souls breathe a story of you and I, of foregone eras written in old dusty books, romancing princes with  honorable reigns. Dusk till dawn, bodies withered, in motion and submission. Only if such fairy tales come into existence, to be true and forgiven. I wait eternally, solely, unquestionably, for it shall become the answer to my affliction, but surely...

it hadn't happened.
